Issue 40: The Beautiful Chaos
It is another 10 issues and I am celebrating.
I am celebrating the breakthrough moments in which I feel aligned, at ease, and peaceful.
Cause this eldest daughter of immigrants still navigates high functioning anxiety lol.
Is it tempting to open up my books to trauma therapy clients absolutely…
Does it feel safer to do what I have always done?
Go back to the way it was… absolutely.
Pero, I didn’t shed like I shedded during the year of the snake to go back.
In Money - a love story, the author writes “when we make a shift like this, it's as though a flash flood has washed the path behind us away. If we turn to go back the way we've come, there are no tracks, no clear way to go, and no trace of the old way. So our only choice becomes the choice of moving forward.”
Well then… I freaking pruned like crazy, dug out the apple tree, cut off the noise, decluttered, unsubscribed and shed anything that was not in service to my vision or my peace.
Pues aquí estamos… entonces…
There is no going back, Diana.
So… ni modo, hay que confiar. I have to trust.
But if I release the clenched teeth and stomach y I pay attention…
Everything is working in my favor.
In January, I presented “Money Medicina for Clinicians” for Wayfinder. Thank you Jennifer for allowing me to birth this offering and to add one more workshop to my curriculum.
The day after my birthday, my proposal on “Healing Money” got accepted for Dress for Success Seattle’s Inaugural Women's Career Summit. Is this real life?!
I presented my latest offering El Tianguis: Honoring the Sacred Exchange to the Chicanx Institute of Psychology and Community Wellness
I met Profe Manuel Zamarripa in 2023 at the National Latinx Psychological Association (NLPA) conference. I got to be in ceremony with him and his family, I was able to meet and witness so many of my heroes in liberation and mujerista psychology and I got to hug Andreina in real life for the first time. I am grateful that she brought us together again for this offering.
I also just wrapped up my circle for Woodland Park Zoo; my favorite place in Seattle! Dreams really do come through (true)! I am especially grateful to Coach Reita Johnson for following her heart until she found me. She shared how she searched for five plus months and screened plenty of “money people” until Drea connected her to me (mil gracias)... just as I had announced my pivot - divine timing.

Plus: I have been active for immigration justice. I presented on Psychological First Aid at the Burien United for Justice Rapid Response Training. I also got to offer healing on the Trauma of Migration to Alimentando al Pueblo. If you have money, support their crucial efforts. I am also still doing immigration evaluations in case you know someone that needs one that is justice centered.
And guess what? My babies got to join me at most of these events.

If I focus on them, there is no anxiety, there is no turning back, only celebration moving forward.
