EL IPEGÜE:
Honoring the Financial Burdens & Blessings
An experiential círculo exploring how ancestral histories, family patterns, and survival strategies shape our relationship with money.
Explore the financial burdens and blessings you inherited, honor your ancestors’ experiences, and reclaim the freedom to shape your financial future.
November 13th 2026 5-8 PM PCT.
Do you wonder why your relationship with money feels hard?
You work hard, but struggle to make money, keep it, or build savings.
You keep repeating financial patterns you saw in your family and promised yourself you would never do.
You feel stuck, depleted, behind, but are unsure how to move forward.
You have achieved financial stability and/or success, yet still feel guilty, fearful, or undeserving of what you have.
You may have done the work, followed the advice, and learned the strategies— yet something still feels unresolved.
And honestly, it may be bigger than you.
What if it's not just you?
We are often taught to understand our financial lives through individual choices, beliefs, behaviors, and financial knowledge.
These matter—but they are not the whole story.
There is more to our relationship with money than what we have been told.
Money is not just personal. It is relational.
Our financial lives are influenced by the stories we inherit: what our families experienced and survived, the lessons we were taught—spoken and unspoken—and the patterns we were raised by.
What if a belief about scarcity was connected to your family's experience of survival?
What if financial guilt reflects your loyalty to previous struggles?
What if your avoidance, fear, or over-responsibility is due to a history of grief and loss?
What Is El Ipegüe?
El Ipegüe is a náhuatl word used in Nicaragua that refers to an addition, an extra gift, a tip, a bonus.
El Ipegüe explores the financial patterns, survival strategies, and inherited beliefs we carry—and the ancestral wisdom, resilience, and resources that are also part of our inheritance.
It is not simply about fixing scarcity beliefs, overcoming financial blocks, or changing behavior.
It is about honoring what previous generations carried, understanding the wider context of our people's financial lives, and creating space to discern what we may choose to leave behind and what is ours to carry forward.
Together, we tend to our ancestors, honor the burdens of our gente, and reconnect with the blessings and abundance of our inheritance.
El Ipegüe creates space to
Honor the Burdens
What has been difficult to carry.
What has helped us survive.
What has blocked our abundance.
Receive the Blessings
What do we want to preserve?
What will we leave behind?
What do we want to pass forward?
El Ipegüe Offering
El Ipegüe is an experiential, relational ceremonial space that brings together Money Medicina (my trauma informed financial therapy framework) and my Family Constellations training to explore ancestral inheritances about money.
Through guided visualization, reflection, embodied practices, storytelling, and circle processing, we will
share and listen to the stories we carry
honor the experiences that shaped our families and our relationship with money
reconnect with the strengths and resources available to us
transform our inheritance and make choices that move us forward
El Ipegüe is Guided By:
I am a family constellator and decolonial financial therapist who bridges healing ancestors and healing money.
I have spent the last ten years since founding my private therapy practice trying to heal my scarcity, urgency, and perfectionism - survival skills I thought that I had learned as a first generation eldest daughter of immigrants. As an entrepreneur, I thought that I was alone, making it all up, the first in my lineage to build a business.
Acknowledging the burdens of my lineage allowed for me to receive the blessings of my ancestors.
It was through ancestral reconnection that I learned that I come from a long line of resistors, creators, innovators, and business owners. Whereas before I moved in survival, I am now able to connect with the energy of thriving. I no longer feel alone, instead my success feels supported by the thousands of people that came before me.
